An apple cider vinegar infusion (PH level 2-3) balances the PH level of the product to match it to that of the acidic environments of human hair at around 3.67 and scalp at 5.5. This differentiates our shampoo bars from body soaps. Handmade soap is more alkaline with a PH level of 9-10, and the use of body soap as a hair product can leave your hair dry and brittle. With a solid shampoo and conditioning product, no water is used as filler, providing you with full access to pure, high quality ingredients.
Our bars are much larger than others on the market and last for 60+ washes. Our shampoo bars do not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or SLSA which strip the scalp of natural oils and cause your scalp to either remain dry and flaky or overproduce oil for greasy hair after twenty-four hours. With our haircare products, your natural hair oils will balance and regulate, creating healthier hair with more volume. You should be able to go longer between washes without experiencing that greasy feeling. No synthetic colors or dyes are used within any of our haircare products.

As the owner of Flourish, I have only used this product (and no conditioner) to wash my hair for over three years now. My hair is straight, long, and I do get my hair professionally dyed a few times a year. My color lasts. My hair is the healthiest it has ever been. My hair has so much volume. Since the natural oils in my scalp have balanced, I can go days without washing my hair and not have that greasy texture or appearance. As stated, this product does not strip the oils in your scalp or hair follicles, so a conditioner is usually not needed to rehydrate. I personally don't use conditioner. After my hair dries, I may use a small drop of hair oil in the ends of my hair. This product is the best shampoo I have encountered. I remember the days before this product. I would shower, have nice hair for half a day, but slowly my hair would flatten and by the next morning feel and look greasy.
